Lyrics

Did I dream you dreamed about me? Were you here when I was forsook? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sing, "Touch me not Touch me not; come back tomorrow Oh, my heart - oh, my heart Shies from the sorrow"

What a banger of a debut single and pretty bold to lead off with a cover. I was a punk/new wave/goth teen at the time and it set a mood for the school year.

It's said that when this was released it caused a renewed interest in Jeff Buckley's work. It certainly inspired Messiah as they sampled it in Temple of Dreams and David Lynch used it extensively in Lost Highway.

I decided this would be my debut for Resurrection Sunday after it appearing out of nowhere on an old playlist I had going in the car. It immediately identified itself as having the proper wistful yearning sound that is perfect for looking to the past.
